For many years I've intended to feature overlays with the Franklin-Christoph brand. In fact, the Model 03 with it's subtle taper from the center to the ends was designed this way for this purpose. So here I present the first design, in partnership with an Italian artisan house, an edition named \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong style=\"color: #cccccc;\"\u003eFiori di Christoph\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan color=\"#cccccc\" style=\"color: #cccccc;\"\u003e. It features an abstract flora motif in a very traditional overlay style that harkens back to turn of the century 19th-20th. Hand carved and engraved by artisans with experience handed down from the generations. I decided not to number this first edition as it will be inherently limited. The overlay is solid .925 sterling sliver. This design we also often use for our maki-e limited edition pens.
